High School Students

How to Join

Joining the ODU Army ROTC is easy! Once you join, you will be a part of Old Dominion's Monarch Battalion beginning the Fall semester of your Freshman Year.

1. Apply

The first step to joining the ODU Army ROTC is simply to apply and be accepted into Old Dominion University.

2. Enroll

Once accepted into Old Dominion University, all you need to do is enroll in the Military Science and Leadership 101 (MSL 101) class during Freshman Preview. You will also need to complete your enrollment documents to participate in labs and weekly physical training located here.

Note: Filling out these forms does not obligate you to the US Army in any way.

Those cross-registering for classes will need to submit a Cross-Registration Form in order to attend the ODU ROTC Program.
